“My mouth is filled with laughter; my tongue spilling over into song. I speak this word out across the prairies and deserts, across the hills, over the oceans wide, from nation to nation: “The Lord has done remarkable things for them.”
The Lord has done remarkable things for me. I am beyond happy, beyond joyful.”
Oh, how remarkable and great the things the Lord has done for you! Rejoice in Him today!
I’m so excited that you are taking this journey with me! I’ve got a couple more states on board now! I am expecting deliveries of dirt from Wisconsin, North Carolina and Arizona!! How exciting! I thank God every day for all of you who are praying alongside me for our states, and it has been such a blessing knowing that God is hearing our prayers! I am also blessed by what I see happening in my jar of dirt! As I said yesterday, I expect to hear testimonies like this from all across the nation!
I would love to hear anything you’ve seen, heard or experienced in prayer, as well as any answers to your prayers! Sharing things like this encourages others to keep on keeping on! Please share in the comments on any of our daily posts!
- Love, love, love and more love to your state’s jar
- Give thanks to God that your state loves children, in and out of utero
- Give thanks to God for the love your state has for the Church
- Give thanks to God for the breaking of any poverty in your state
- Give thanks to God for a government that utilizes wisdom
- Speak life to your state!
For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen (Ephesians 3:14-21 NKJV).
There is nothing we can’t accomplish when we agree in prayer. We will see revival in our nation!!!
Blessings, hugs and love,
Wow, do I have news! But first, before my exciting tidbit that I want to share, I want you to watch the following video:
There truly is power in the words we speak. Do not think that speaking love to a jar of dirt is in vain! Psalm 19:14 NKJV says “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.” Words can build up and tear down- speak blessing and not cursing, we have power in our tongues (see James 3). God created the world and everything in it with words, so we must choose our words with care.
This is why it is so important that we affirm and encourage our jars of dirt. As representations of states, the words we speak over them will have profound effects within them. Bless, do not curse in any way, each jar of dirt. Tell it how much you love it, how much God loves it, how valuable it is, how God has a purpose and encourage it to fulfill it’s purpose. And then watch what God does.
And now to the awesome news I want to share…We are on day 5 of this journey, and I have been speaking love over NY’s jar every day, exposing it to the Word, praise and worship and praying for it. When I started, I had a vision of life sprouting from the dirt, and guess what?
If you look closely, you will see new sprouts of life! Due to melting snow, my dirt was wet when I scooped it, and though I’ve taken the cap off only once to begin drying it out, I am not surprised to see life! I expect there will be testimonies like this from every state!
Continue to pray over the jars and speak life to them! God is not done with the US and it is exciting to be part of His great plan!
- Bless and love the jar of dirt.
- Speak blessing over the government and for wisdom to lead.
- Proclaim life to the dry bones of each state
- Declare each state to be a state that worships and seeks after the living God
There is still a great need for the nation to be covered. I have only a handful of states who have joined so far, pray and thank God for intercessors across the nation who will join the call! I am looking for pictures of each state’s jar to make a collage, as well as ensure they are covered. Please share this post and share your pic with me (email@example.com). If you would rather send me dirt from your state, let me know and I’ll send my address.
Blessings, hugs and love!
My apologies for sending this out later than normal, but it is my day to spend the morning with my church family. It is important to maintain connection with our places of worship to be fed spiritually and to strengthen ourselves and others.
As we pray over our jars today, pray for revelation of Christ in the hearts of the people. And remember to tell your jar how much you love it and how God has great plans for it.
Blessings, hugs and love!
Word is spreading and more intercessors are joinging the call, praise God! There is still a need for more coverage across the nation, but I am thanking God for those who have joined in!
As I mentioned yesterday, I took my jar of work and set it next to one of my computer speakers and played an audio bible all day. You may not be led to do this for your state, however, follow the leading of the Spirit regardless of how it may look to others. Remember, we are not just praying and interceding for a jar of dirt, but a jar of dirt that represents a state in the United States. God has a work to do in each state government, people and land and how He wants it accomplished may be different all across the board. This endeavor reminds me of Old Testament prophets who often demonstrated what the Lord was speaking.
As we pray more and more each day for our states, we may begin to encounter resistance in various areas of our lives, I want to encourage you to stand firm and stand on the Word. We are going to have resistance and when it seems you are too tired to carry on, do not hesitate to let me know, so I will pray for you as well. And I will do the same when I feel it too!
Speakover the land of your state. Proclaim health to the soil for fertile crops and an abundant harvest. Proclaim God’s goodness to the agricultural landscape of your state, as well as livestock. Genesis 1:11-12 NLT “Then God said, “Let the land sprout with vegetation- every sort of seed bearing plant, and trees that grow seed bearing fruit. These seeds will then produce the kind of plants and trees from which they came.” And that is what happened. The land produced vegetation- all sorts of seed bearing plants, and trees with seed bearing fruit. Their seeds produced plants and trees of the same kind. And God saw that it was good.” Matthew 13: 8 “Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted!”
Speak to the people who live in your state, thank God for them and declare the love of God for them. Jeremiah 31:3 “Long ago the Lord said to Israel: I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.”
May your day be blessed!
I have a half-hour commute to and from work every day so I have decided to take my jar along. My drive is my time with God and it’s also the time to pray for my jar of dirt. Yesterday and today, I’ve been feeling as though I should park my jar in front of a speaker and play either worship music or an audio bible reading. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God! So, today at work, that is precisely where it is. 🙂
Today’s prayer directives:
- Tell your state’s jar how much you love it. Words of love and affirmation help create frequencies that promote healing and feelings of affection. Too much hate has been spoken over our nation. When God created earth, He saw that it was good.
- Healing of the land of our states and release from curses spoken over the state.
- That each state will develop righteous government.
Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good (Genesis 1:9-10 NKJV).
Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work (2 Thessalonians 2: 16-17).
And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him (1 John 4:16).
I want to thank you for joining me on this journey and encourage you as we walk this out together. The Lord has given me a great vision for this prophetic prayer, and I know that it will take the prayers of many intercessors joined with mine to see this through. I also have no idea how long the Lord wants us to pray, so this is every day until He says stop.
I would like to ask that if you are going to join in prayer, please post a picture of your glass jar of dirt. I want to put together something that shows all the state jars. You may post it here in a comment or on my Facebook page, or email it to me at tbtdevos at gmail dot com. Also, feel free to share anything the Lord reveals to you as you are praying.
As we intercede for our nation, we will face opposition, and it will be good to have multiple people praying in each state. We must pray through. When we can’t find the words to say, Scripture is the best alternative. God’s word never returns void! And as we pray, we must look for answers to our prayers! Prayer that is aligned with heaven gets results!
Today’s focus: Love and Government Authority
Speak to the jar with words of adoration and thank God for your state. Thank God for its government and thank God for His righteous rule and wisdom in our authorities.
Isaiah 54:14-15 You will be secure under a government that is just and fair. Your enemies will stay far away. You will live in peace, and terror will not come near. If any nation comes to fight you, it is not because I sent them. Whoever attacks you will go down in defeat.
Deuteronomy 33:3 Indeed, he loves his people; all his holy ones are in his hands. They follow in his steps and accept his teaching.
Currently, we have NY, TX, VA and NM covered. Leave a comment and let me know what state jar you are praying over.
I am feeling led to do something out of the box regarding praying for our nation. I am looking for intercessors across the country with a heart for America to join with me in an intercessory prophetic act. The Lord showed me glass jars of dirt. Each jar had a paper taped on it with the name of the state the dirt represented. I saw all 50 states represented.
Here is what the Holy Spirit is prompting me to do: pray Scripture over and speak life to the jars of dirt. Declare God’s governmental authority and His righteousness and justice, pray for healing in the land and the breaking of curses spoken over it. Declare healing on every level and the release of angelic ministry to carry out the Word. Every. Day. Speak words of love to the dirt.
If you cannot pray and intercede from a place of love and grace, please refrain from joining me. If you are unable to commit to praying but want to send me a jar of dirt from your state, message me.
Please share this post. God’s Word never returns void, let’s pray heaven into earth for America!
As Christians, we are a people called to pray. It is our responsibility to usher heaven into earth through our prayers, and to follow the Holy Spirit when we pray. There will be times we get stuck in prayer and we need to make room for the Holy Spirit to pray through us, ensuring God’s heart is prayed for. We are also a people called to love. We don’t have to like everything, but we are called to love each other. I have come to realize love and prayer go together, much like peanut butter and jelly. You can have one without the other, but you will not have the entire sandwich and therefore it is less satisfying with less impact.
Why am I bringing this up since it is part of the basic milk of Christianity? The Church is who God uses to share the Gospel and His love. We all would agree our country is in moral decline and political chaos. Why do you suppose that is? I propose it is because we, as the Church in America, have become so busy poking and pointing fingers at each other over things we individually believe offensive. Christians attacking other Christians over things that are best settled in the prayer closet, bad mouthing people whether in the political or personal arena and over sharing someone else’s opinions on social media – it would appear we’ve become overly focused on ourselves and out of love. We have become complacent and apathetic to the cries of the lost, condemning our government and all opposed to our doctrinal and personal belief system, marching around beating people over the head with a Bible most of us aren’t really studying (let’s face it, if we’re studying our Bible and praying, we aren’t beating each other with it). We have strayed from our prayer mandate in 1 Timothy 2 and the authority we carry as heaven’s representatives on earth.
Church, Jesus is redemptive. “For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them” (Luke 9:56a NKJV). “And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world (John 12:47). Why, if we call ourselves followers of Christ, do we condemn when He does not condemn? Why do we act as judge, jury and executioner when that was not his model? Why, when we do pray, do we speak death over this nation and our fellow man because of things that personally offend us?
Church, it is time to wake up and rise up, time to put aside personal politics and realize it is not about us. We have been publicly silent on the matter of redemption for too long and too outspoken on condemnation. As a whole, we have played into the enemy’s hand. He has successfully caused the Church to leave a bad taste in others mouths. If we want to see revival in our nation, restructure in our government, Godly morals in action, truth, righteousness and justice prevail, we must be willing to step out of our comfort zone and pray heaven into earth. We must be redemptive in our prayers for our nation, our government and our leaders. We must take back the authority Christ gave us on the cross and we must act accordingly. As a Church, we are a beautiful example of Christ in this world, we are His hands and His feet.
How do we do this? We must understand the power of our words and the prayers we pray. When praying for those in authority, it is important to consider the weight of every word and to pray with a clean heart and heavenly motive. Understand, too, that we do not war against flesh, but the spirit world. The things going on around our nation and world today are part of what is going on in the spirit realm and some of these factions we face in the natural have a life of prayer to other gods. And they are zealous in their prayers. Just as they are zealous, we must be even more zealous in our prayers of blessing. We reap what we sow, we must remember that, and if all we sow in prayer is condemnation and its ilk, we will not reap a peaceful and blessed harvest.
It starts with us personally. We must put aside our motives, our politics, our personal preferences and go after the Father’s heart and His divine order for government and authority. We must pray from the place of victory and gratefulness, we must pray for God’s righteousness and justice to prevail and to root out those who have exalted themselves over God. We must partner with the Holy Spirit and push through in prayer until we see results. Results happen when we pray prayers that are aligned with God’s heart. Prayer is vital to the health of nations and a people who pray victorious, redemptive and grace-filled prayers have governments who were first righteously established in the spirit realm and birthed in the earth.
When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place (2 Chronicles 7:13-15).
Do not misunderstand me, I speak to the American Church as a whole, yet God has shown me there is a remnant of prayer warriors who are praying His heart for our country. Imagine what heaven can accomplish in earth when the entire church has a like-minded heart in redemptive and restorative prayer for this nation! We only have to look to Scripture and we can see that Israel strayed from God many times, yet He always showed her a path for redemption and restoration.
Pray this with me today:
Dear Heavenly Father, create in Your Church a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit within her. May she be filled with the power, presence and person of Christ, going after Your heart and ushering heaven into earth. May Your Church be ignited with a passion to pray into governments and territories, through the power of Your Spirit, and may she seek peace. Thank You for this beautiful Church, may she walk in all the authority You have given her, with signs and wonders following. You are an awesome and gracious Father, desiring the best for Your people. May Your Church be baptized with Your love, filled with Your Spirit and refreshed anew to be a blessing to the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2: 1-4).
Taste and See
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him (Psalm 34:8 NKJV).
Taste of His goodness; see how wonderful the Eternal truly is. Anyone who puts trust in Him will be blessed and comforted (Psalm 34:8 VOICE).
This particular Scripture has been on my heart for a while now. “Taste and see that the Lord is good”, “Taste of His goodness, see how wonderful the Eternal truly is.” We know how important food and water is to nourishing our bodies, yet Jesus said man does not live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). Jesus also referred to Himself as Bread from heaven (John 6:51). This makes perfect sense as Jesus is the Word. Nourishment is important to God, He has given us everything we need to nourish our spirit and bodies!
I see an awesome riverside banquet, and I hear the cry of our Father’s heart to come and sit, stay awhile and partake of His goodness. To really “taste” of Him. I know that once seated at the table and sharing in His bounty, the taste is so succulent, so fresh, so “good” there is nothing else that satisfies.
I hear the Lord say “Taste and see how good I AM. Come to Me when you need nourishment and I will feed you where you need it most. Come and be filled at My banquet, which I have laid out for you. I have ALL you need, I AM all you need. This world offers only temporary satisfaction and is a only a shadow. Taste of Me, I AM like a honey cake on your lips, I AM a refreshing drink. Taste of Me and be filled, be strengthened and be encouraged. My banquet table never empties and My river of living water never runs dry. Taste and see how good I AM.”
