Calm the Storm

Today is named CALM THE STORM because we have the authority to do so. We abide and dwell in Christ and He has given us his authority, therefore every storm that rises up around us, every adverse circumstance, every chaotic moment threatening to knock us off course, we can stand and say “Peace, be still!” As we stand in faith, we can be sure the wind and wave obey.
“He got up, shouted words into the wind, and commanded the waves, “That’s enough! Be still!” and immediately the wind doed down to nothing, the waves stopped” (Mark 4:39 VOICE).

Small Things

Today is named SMALL THINGS because when we pay attention to the small things, Papa will point us toward the great things! Recognizing that all things in our lives matter, whether they are the everyday, ordinary, mundane or the breathtaking, exciting, and important. It all matters and it all has an effect on the Kingdom and our purpose within it. Papa speaks through the small things and all of His creation declares His glory. How we handle, or listen to, the small things shows our potential for greater things. Small things now lead to great things later!

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork (Psalm 19:1 NKJV).

He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much (Luke 16:10a).

Matthew 28:19-20

Matthew 28:19-20 VOICE

Making a disciple is not the same as “getting someone saved”. It is teaching them in the way Christ taught us, it is mentoring them, sharing life with them, and then freeing them to multiply the same way. It involves spending time with that person or group on a continuing basis, and growing together. You know, like raising children within a family. Jesus didn’t simply seek and save the lost, He left a heavenly blueprint on how to do it.

It behooves the Body to become more disciple-focused rather than salvation-focused. There are many willing and ready to learn and few who will stay and teach. Will you devote yourself to discipling someone? Raising spiritual children is just as rewarding as raising a child. 󾌵

Victorious

Today is named VICTORIOUS because we are victors. When we accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, we made a decision to live differently. This world wants people to believe life is filled with broken dreams, suppressed hope and unfulfilled longings. Because we have Jesus, who stands with us and is for us, we are victorious. All of heaven lives within us, wherever we go we bring heaven into the area causing a change in the atmosphere. Darkness cannot abide where there is light, and victorious people shed light where they are. We are children of the Living God, it is time we walked like it.

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57 NKJV)

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. (1 John 5:4)
