Your children and your crops will be blessed. The offspring of your herds and flocks will be blessed (Deuteronomy 28:4 NLT).
As we talked about briefly yesterday, obedience brings blessing no matter where we are. Today, we see that being obedient to God blesses not only our children, but our possessions as well. Obedience leads to prosperity; while prosperity is not always monetary, it is often most associated with money. When we are obedient to God, He multiplies what we have. This enables us to share, give and spread out, thus advancing His kingdom. The more we give, the more we receive, enabling us to give more.
God doesn’t always multiply horizontally, He often does it vertically. For instance, Abraham and Sarah had one child, but many servants and livestock. Abraham was considered prosperous. Isaac had two sons, Jacob and Esau. Jacob and Esau each had many children as well as servants and livestock. The generations kept multiplying. The offspring are blessed.
When we remain obedient, we leave a legacy for our children, our children’s children and beyond. Listen to what God says, obey and watch how He multiplies and blesses!
I love ya!
