praying for others

Scriptural Prayers: Morning Minute Message 5/20/19

Since the day we got this good news about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We ask: Father, may they clearly know Your will and achieve the height and depth of spiritual wisdom and understanding. May their lives be a credit to You, Lord; and what’s more, may they continue to delight You by doing every good work and growing in the true knowledge that comes from being close to You. Strengthen them with Your infinite power, according to Your glorious might, so that they will have everything they need to hold on and endure hardship patiently and joyfully. Thank You, Father, as You have made us eligible to receive our portion of the inheritance given to all those set apart by the light. You have rescued us from dark powers and brought us safely into the kingdom of Your Son, whom You love and in whom we are redeemed and forgiven of our sins [through His blood] (Colossians 1:9-14 VOICE).

Scripture is filled with prayers that we can personalize and pray over ourselves and others. These are powerful because, as God’s word, they will set out to do what He has sent them to do and they will not return void. We can be sure that whenever we pray a Scriptural based prayer, or prophesy it over ourselves or someone else, it will come to pass.

How do we do this? We simply pray it and either insert our prayer subject’s name, or we make it for ourself. It isn’t difficult, and because we can trust Papa’s word, we can trust that it will be answered. Nothing is impossible for Papa, and nothing is too hard for Him.

I prayed today’s Scripture for you, who are you going to pray it for?

I love ya, have a great day!

Put Others First: Morning Minute Message 5/14/19

Don’t let selfishness and prideful agendas take over. Embrace true humility, and lift your heads to extend love to others. Get beyond yourselves and protecting your own interests; be sincere, and secure your neighbors’ interests first (Philippians 2:3-4 VOICE).

Often we can become so caught up in what is happening in our lives at any particular moment that we lose sight of what is happening to others around us. It is important that we always keep an eye out for those around us to lend a hand, to pray for or with, to do something kind or to simply be there to lean on, no matter what is going on with us. Jesus said it is better to give than to receive, and when we give of ourselves ahead of ourselves, we reap a reward that no amount of selfishness can satisfy.

It may often seem counterintuitive to put others first, especially if we have a major event or deadline, or some type of adverse circumstance we didn’t plan for. But when we do what Scripture tells us and get beyond ourselves, we have a greater well of compassion and kindness to draw from. Don’t misunderstand me, I’m not saying that every time something happens, we must ignore what is happening to do something specific for someone. We are humans with human emotions, but it simply means to not be so hung up on our own situation that we miss what is going on with others. It may be as simple as being a listening ear for someone else, it may be grabbing coffee with someone we haven’t seen in a while, it may simply be allowing someone to do something nice for us that we wouldn’t ordinarily allow them to do.

I love ya, have a great day!

Pray in the Spirit: Morning Minute Message 5/8/19

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere (Ephesians 6:18 NLT).

Prayer is a vital part of the Believer’s life. It is our life support system, our battery charger, our necessary food. It is our GPS, our telephone, our battle strategy. There are those who would argue that Scripture is all we need, but Scripture without prayer is simply words on a page. Prayer is how we enter into understanding Scripture, and understanding what the Spirit reveals to us as to how and what to pray.

Praying in the Spirit is prayer that is directed, energized, and sustained by the Holy Spirit. Intercession, if you will. When we speak, sing, or be in the Spirit, it is all Holy Spirit led. The Bible is filled with intercessory prayers, Scripture based prayers, admonitions to pray at all times, unceasingly, and for all men.

Got a problem? Pray. Need direction? Pray. Facing backlash for your beliefs? Pray. No matter the situation, pray. Bring it all to the altar. Not only will you gain peace, you will gain perspective, and sometimes a changed perspective is all we need to see the answer to our prayers.

Pray especially for Believers. There are many who have been misguided, misinformed, who struggle to know Jesus outside the confines of what they’ve been taught, who only know condemnation. Pray for them. Bless them, ask Papa to show you how He sees them, and how He wants you to pray specifically. These are prayers He will gladly answer.

I love ya, have a great day!

Love Your Enemies: Morning Minute Message 2/8/19

He Restores the Backslidden: Morning Minute Message 2/6/19

Do Not Gloat

Proverbs 24: 17-18 “Do not celebrate when your enemies fall, and do not rejoice when they trip up; or else the Eternal will know and be upset with you, and He will release them from His anger (VOICE).”
This has been heavy on my heart lately, especially since the division in this country has become a somewhat “us” vs. “them” mentality. It doesn’t matter the source of our “Breaking News”, the reports are always so negative regarding the “other” side and it seems to be the reporter’s joy to point out how “so & so will pay”. Yet, it doesn’t seem like payback is swift in coming.
Could it be that the payback some so dearly hope for isn’t coming because many are gloating over the falling and tripping up of the “other side”? Who are we to think we are so far above the mishaps, mistakes and misfortunes of those we don’t agree with that we dare to gloat and rejoice in their failings? Does it not rain on the just and the unjust alike? Does the sun not shine on both as well?
Each one of us is not exempt, we are someone’s enemy whether we realize it or not. Yet, Jesus does not tell us to come against against our enemies, He tells us to love them (Matthew 5: 43-45). And this is not really a New Testament theme, Leviticus 19:18 also mentions something similar “Do not seek revenge or hold a grudge against any of your people. Instead, love your neighbor as you love yourself, for I am the Eternal One (VOICE).”
Freedom and liberty are not found in hating those who think differently, act like they think, and attack before thinking, nor will that kind of hate bring about changes of thought. Freedom and liberty happen in the lives of our enemies when love invades hate and we love them for who they are as people.
Our fight is not against people, it never was. Our fight is against the spiritual forces at work and we, now more than ever, need greater discernment and an even greater outpouring of LOVE. Ephesians 6: 12 “We’re not waging war against enemies of flesh and blood alone. No, this fight is against tyrants, against authorities, against supernatural powers and demon princes that slither in the darkness of this world, and against wicked spiritual armies that lurk about in heavenly places (VOICE).”
I encourage you to change the way you pray for the supposed “other side”. Please, no more hate and condemnation prayers, no more calling down the wrath of God upon them, no more hoping to see them fall. God delights in mercy over judgment (James 2:13). Instead pray:
1.) For the tender mercies of God to pierce their heart
2.) Pray for a greater capacity to love
3.) For them to have a greater capacity to receive love
4.) For the Holy Spirit to have freedom to do whatever is needed in their lives
5.) For you to be quick to listen and slow to speak
6.) For compassion and passion on all “sides”
Let us be a people who loves people the way Papa loves people.
Matthew 5: 43-45 “You have been taught to love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I tell you this: love your enemies. Pray for those who torment you and persecute you— in so doing, you become children of your Father in heaven. He, after all, loves each of us—good and evil, kind and cruel. He causes the sun to rise and shine on evil and good alike. He causes the rain to water the fields of the righteous and the fields of the sinner (Voice).
Galatians 5:13-15 “Brothers and sisters, God has called you to freedom! Hear the call, and do not spoil this gift by using your liberty to engage in what your flesh desires; instead, use it to serve each other as Jesus taught through love. For the whole law comes down to this one instruction: “Love your neighbor as yourself,”so why all this vicious gnawing on each other? If you are not careful, you will find you’ve eaten each other alive (VOICE)!
James 2: 13 “For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment (NKJV).
1 John 4:7-8 “My loved ones, let us devote ourselves to loving one another. Love comes straight from God, and everyone who loves is born of God and truly knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love (VOICE).”

Praying for the Nation – Update

Jar of Dirt Map as of 4/13/16

Currently covered states, still need the rest.

2016-04-13 10.29.10

The physical jars of dirt I have in my possession. Illinois is the one covered by the cross.

A while back my husband and I watched a Sid Roth episode in which he interviewed Robert Henderson.

I was intrigued as Robert Henderson was speaking about interceding in the court of heaven. This caught my ear because it was prior to this episode in which the Lord showed me a picture of a heavenly court and Papa as judge. So, I bought his book, Operating In the Courts of Heaven.

There is much to glean from it and I anticipate reading it many times simply to fully understand what he covers. He has a chapter called The Testimony of the Blood in which he describes how the Blood of Jesus answers every accusation Satan has by its very testimony. He also says that blood has a voice, citing the killing of Abel by Cain and Papa saying Abel’s blood cries out to Him. He states “The testimony of blood before God’s throne is very powerful.”

I mention all this because I had an interesting experience on a road trip Monday. My husband and I were driving down to an area south of Syracuse. On the way there, I began to see things I have never seen before. In the natural this particular area is filled with dead trees and swampy. Some of it is open swamp, and another has more dead trees. It is beautiful and serene. I always enjoy being a passenger when we go that route and Monday was no different. As I watched the scenery pass, I started to see it in a different time. I realized, later that day, that the Lord was showing me the history. I saw the land lush, green and filled with activity. There were native people hunting and living on the land. I saw people and family groups, hunting activities, animal kills and the work involved. It was quite detailed and at the same time slightly disconcerting as I realized this was time before settlers arrived. Driving back through Onondaga Nation territory, I began to hear what I could not see. I heard the sorrow of the people of the land; cries, laments and I specifically heard “This is our land, it is not theirs to take.” I heard the weeping of women and children, the shouts of men and the heartbeat of the land. I believe I heard the testimony of the blood.

We know our nation has a very bloody history. We’ve been praying for over a year, speaking love and life to our land over jars of dirt. I am coming to believe it is no coincidence Papa specifically indicated dirt from every state. There was blood shed in the dirt of every state of this nation and He is now directing us to take our intercession into His court on behalf of our country. I still don’t understand fully what this looks like, but I know it is not something to be done alone. Partner with others in your area who are called to intercede on behalf of our nation, pray together, speak life together, bless and do not curse. We are the ones who enforce the heavenly verdict here on earth.

We have transitioned to a higher level, let us go forward and remove ourselves from the battlefield and prepare ourselves for court. We will see change and we will receive answers. We don’t have time to wait.

Thank you for your steadfastness and faithfulness in prayer. I love you all!

Praying For the Nation – Objectivity

As we continue on this intercessory journey, I wanted to remind us to stay objective. God’s ways are not our ways, nor are His thoughts like our thoughts. We can only see what is on the outside, but He knows the thoughts and intents of the heart, He also has a purpose and a plan for all things. We will speak blessing and we will not curse, nor will we allow other to curse around us. Shut those words down and do not come into agreement.

We are in an election year and with still so many candidates running for President this year, the mudslinging has become worse than years past. To be honest, I am worn out from all the finger pointing and nay-saying, I am fed up with hearing what people won’t do and I’m tired of political rhetoric driven by campaign funders. I tell this to Papa too, He still says to bless and pray in His candidate. I do what I’m told.

As I’ve been praying, I’ve been impressed to maintain objectivity in all the goings on across our nation. Papa is full of surprises and I have no doubt His plans will surprise us to the point where we simply have to trust in His purpose.  So I encourage you to do the same.

This is definitely going to be a wild ride, but Papa makes all things work for our good. He seats princes on the throne and removes kings from kingdoms, we must remember His hand is working behind the scenes. Our posture of prayer is to be in agreement with heaven, so we must keep our ears open to hear what He has been saying.

Be blessed and continue blessing! I love each and every one of you!

Praying for the Nation – Salty

A little leaven leavens the whole lump (Galatians 5:9 NKJV).

I realize it has been a while since I last posted an update, however I trust you are continuing to speak life and love over the jars of dirt representing our nation. I’ve had the above verse on my heart since I woke up this morning.

I try not to watch too much news or read too many articles as the perpetrators of fear and law have been working overtime. The enemy of our soul knows he is defeated yet he desires to fight anyway. I have been thinking of how best to pray in light of the few reports I have come across and I want to share what Papa has spoken to me.

A little leaven leavens the whole lump. Pretty straightforward, right? It basically says a small amount is needed to affect something in its entirety. When looking at the current state of this nation, it would appear some leaven has indeed corrupted the whole. 2016 is an election year with candidates still vying for the top spot and no clear direction from many of them; things may appear bleak. I can assure you Papa knows exactly what is going on here, and He still desires us to bless and not curse.

You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men (Matthew 5:13).

In baking, salt can prohibit the yeast from causing the bread to rise. Used in large amounts, it hinders growth. Since Jesus told us we are the salt of the earth, we have the power within us to hinder the effects of the leaven affecting our nation. It is time for us to rise up and be salty. Salt also created thirst and preserves. When we are truly being salt, those around us want what we have. For too long we have equated saltiness with condemnation,  but the two are not compatible. To be salt the way Jesus called us, we must exercise radical love and grace. Each of us can start within our circles of influence.

As we begin 2016, let us not only make a point to continue to speak love and life over our nation, but to walk salty and sure. We have all we need to do this in Christ, we simply have to exercise it.

This year’s prayer points:

  • Speak life and love to your jars.
  • Season every conversation with salt, lavishing love on everyone you meet.
  • Continue to pray for Papa’s governmental authorities on every level in our elections this year.
  • Pray for strength and endurance for all of our national intercessors, those behind the scenes as well as those in front.

I am so blessed to be partnering with you on this journey and I know we will see Papa’s hand at work in His divine time. I love you!

Happy New Year

Praying for the Nation Week 28- Night Vision Goggles

I’m so grateful for your steadfastness and faithfulness in continuing to intercede for our nation! God has blessed this nation with faithful prayer warriors who are not afraid to pull heaven into earth and God is faithful to provide tools and weapons for our warfare.

snakesOur directives this week stem from dreams that my cousin has had which, I and my church’s intercessory team believe, is a warning and a weapon. My cousin has dreamt twice this week of rather fat snakes crossing our national borders, and of fires starting at all our churches. I have a trusted friend who is gifted in interpretation and she said snakes represent deception, such as when the serpent deceived Eve in the garden. She believes our enemy is attempting to foster distrust, as well as trying to impair the Lord’s plans for churches. She suggests we press in and pray to disrupt all ungodly communication. We absolutely need discernment and wisdom for this. She says that snakes also hate fire, and believes the fires in the churches could be the exact weapon God is giving us to fight the enemy; we must pray for the fire of God to enter our churches.

Over a year ago, the Lord showed me our national borders and then showed me all kinds of creeping things that move or hide under the cover of darkness such as rats, cockroaches, snakes and the like. He directed me to begin praying for our borders – that they be sealed up, well lit and lined with attentive watchmen. He directed me to pray for exposure of the creeping, crawling and sneaky things and for their pathways to be cut off and burnt. God has given us night vision goggles, we must be sure to wear them at all times!

Intercessors, I realize the burden we carry, however, we are not alone. There are more with us than there are against us, and we are victorious! Do not grow weary of prayer. We are hitting where it hurts.

This week’s directives:

  • Continue to speak love and life to your jar of dirt. We are changing our nation with words of love and affirmation in the spiritual realm and because we are speaking heaven into earth, God is moving!
  • Continue to declare God’s governmental authority over this nation and for His great love for its people.
  • Declare the enemy powerless and his attempts to sneak across our borders fruitless, pray for exposure of his plans, and a halt to all of his communication. Lord, confuse and frustrate his plans!
  • Give thanks and praise for the Fire of God to ignite the Church across the nation! For those to see Truth, Life and the Way in the heavenly realm and for the Church to walk in a greater understanding and anointing of its heavenly anointing!
  • Pray for greater discernment and desire for wisdom for our churches, for strength for the Church and endurance to occupy until we are told to move.

Please share this post.

Blessings, hugs and love!

Shalom 🙂
